Grasshopper Cookies

1 ¼ cup butter                                  
2 cup sugar                                        
2 eggs                                                  
½ tsp salt
1 ½  tsp vanilla                                
½ tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
¾ cup cocoa powder
2  cup flour        
10 oz package Andes mint chips
                                                                                                                                       

Preheat oven to 350F.  Cream sugar and butter together on medium speed.  Mix in eggs and vanilla.  Reduce speed to low and gradually mix in dry ingredients and Andes mint pieces.  Drop on an ungreased cookie sheet by spoonful.  Bake for 8 minutes.
